The Member of Parliament for Pru East Constituency, Emmanuel Kofi Boam, has expressed hope that the government, through the Ministry of Works, Housing, and Water Resources, will provide safe and sustainable water to the people of Parambo-Sawaba in the shortest possible time.
The MP expressed his optimism after the sector minister, Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, responded to his urgent question during parliamentary proceedings on Thursday, July 17, 2025, about measures being taken by the ministry to address the over two-decade-old challenge confronting the people in the immediate term. "It basically has to do with Parambo-Sawaba, one of the largest communities in the Pru East Constituency.
As a matter of fact, this community has been plagued with numerous water-related issues, specifically having to share common water sources with animals.
It is quite intriguing to see people drinking from the same area as animals, which prompted me to ask the minister when they will gain access to drinkable and sustainable water-water that could be lasting.
