The National Youth Organiser of the (NPP), Salam Mustapha, has vehemently rejected claims that flagbearer hopefuls contributed to the party's recent super delegates' conference held on Saturday July, 19, 2025, in an attempt to curry favour with electorates.
Speaking on Channel One TV on July 20, 2025, Mustapha clarified that the donations were voluntary and made in solidarity with the party, noting the substantial costs involved in organising such a large-scale event. "To bring over 5,000 people together, their accommodation, transport, it's expensive.
We are grateful to them for helping in these hard times," Mustapha stated, emphasising the financial demands of the congress.
He explained that several prominent figures within the party, including former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Dr Bryan Acheampong, Kennedy Agyapong, Frema Osei-Opare, and other former appointees and supporters, made significant contributions to support the event.
