Ghana's hopes of winning the WAFU B U20 Championship came to an end on Sunday evening after a 2–1 semifinal loss to Ivory Coast at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

The Black Satellites made a bright start with Benjamin Tsivanyo opening the scoring early on, but Ivory Coast pulled level before halftime.

The visitors then completed the comeback in the 69th minute with a brilliant finish from Ali Koné that left goalkeeper Gideon Aseako with no chance.

The result sees Ghana miss out on a place in the final, where Ivory Coast will now face Nigeria.
