Supporters of Dr were seen rallying behind him at the just-ended (NPP) 2025 National Delegates Conference held on July 19, 2025, signaling growing grassroots interest in his potential leadership role within the party.
The conference, held under the theme "Rebuilding Together with Our Values," brought together more than 5,500 delegates from across the country to deliberate on proposed constitutional reforms and internal restructuring aimed at strengthening the party's base.
Although the event primarily focused on policy discussions and party reforms, the arrival of Dr Acheampong, alongside other potential contenders for the NPP's 2028 flagbearership, drew significant attention from both delegates and party members.
