Former Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen, has voiced concern over the conduct of the party's current leadership, stating that they have been unfair to the pioneers who helped build the party.
Speaking exclusively to during the NPP's 2025 Annual Delegates Conference, held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, Obiri Boahen said the new generation of executives has shown a lack of regard for their predecessors.
Responding to former President 's remarks about being sidelined by the party, Obiri Boahen clarified, "I haven't said we've been sidelined, but I believe the current generation of executives has not treated us fairly." He added, "How is it possible for the NPP to hold a programme in Kumasi and fail to inform some of the party's pioneers?
