Members of the (NPP) have rejected a proposed amendment to the Party's Constitution that would lower the youth age limit to 35.
The rejection means the age limit for a person to contest the NPP youth organizer position will be maintained at 40.
The proposal was roundly rejected by delegates at the Party's National Delegates Conference in Accra on July 19, 2025.
As the highest decision-making body of the Party, the Conference brought together over 5,500 delegates to deliberate on 56 constitutional reform proposals submitted by the Constitutional Amendment Committee.
