The Director-General of the National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA), Divine Selasi Agbeti, has been suspended for two weeks following a directive from the Office of the President.
The action stems from an ongoing investigation into allegations that Mr Agbeti engaged the services of a uniformed military officer as a personal bodyguard during public events without the required authorisation.
According to sources, the Office of the President lodged a formal complaint, prompting the Minister for Communications to act.
A suspension directive was subsequently issued to allow for a full probe into the misconduct allegations.
