Former Hearts of Oak Team Manager, Sabahn Quaye, has shed light on the internal turmoil plaguing the club, citing a toxic atmosphere of backstabbing as a major obstacle to progress.
Quaye's remarks come as the club embarks on a rebuilding phase, following the recent appointment of head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, who has been tasked with reviving the team's fortunes ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
In an interview on Fire for Fire on Adom TV, Quaye praised the efforts of Board Chairman Togbe Afede XIV but expressed concern over the lack of unity and trust within the club's current set-up. "Togbe Afede is doing well so far, but there is a lot of backstabbing in the team, from the board to the playing body," Quaye stated.
He further reflected on his tenure, saying, "It was not like that during my time as Team Manager," he added.
