Manchester City forward Jeremy Doku has expressed gratitude to Ghanaians following their warm reception during his first visit to the country in 17 years.  The 23-year-old Belgian of Ghanaian descent touched down to a rousing welcome at the Kotoka International Airport last week, as he arrived for a series of activities including charity work.

Doku visited his family house in Madina, a suburb of Accra, before engaging the local folks to a community game with several fans watching as he enjoyed his time on a grassless pitch.

The player's team also organised a game between two teams based in Madina, with the winners receiving trophy and medals.

The best player from the tournament was presented a signed Jeremy Doku Manchester City shirt.
