Agent Oliver Arthur has disclosed that Swedish club Halmstads BK felt confident finalizing the loan acquisition of striker Emmanuel "99 Ideas" Yeboah, largely influenced by the lasting legacy of former Ghana international and club legend Yaw Preko.
Yeboah, a Ghana youth international, has secured a season-long loan move to Halmstads from Danish side Brondby for more game time.
During the final stages of negotiations with officials from Halmstads BK, Arthur discovered that ex-winger Yaw Preko remains highly regarded at the Swedish club, 20 years after his departure.
Arthur was taken by surprise when the club presented an old matchday brochure from Preko's final season, a year in which Halmstads came close to clinching the Swedish league title.
