The Vice Chairman of the 2024 Bawumia Campaign Team, Nana Akomea, has explained why the party rejected former President John Agyekum Kufuor's request to postpone the National Delegates Conference scheduled for Saturday, 19th July, 2025.
Eighty-six-year-old former President John Agyekum Kufuor voiced deep frustration over what he described as his exclusion from key affairs of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), insisting that his age should not be used as a reason to sideline him.
According to Nana Akomea, the former president had written to the party expressing his wish to attend the conference in person, but explained that he would be out of the country on the set date.
He therefore requested that the conference be rescheduled to the end of August, when he expects to return to Ghana.
