Alhaji Gibrine Tanko, Agona West (NPP) Constituency Chairman, is confident the party is reorganizing its grassroots to recapture power in the 2028 elections.
Speaking at a sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of an ultra-modern party office at Agona Nyakrom in the Central Region, Alhaji Tanko emphasized that the initiative marks a fresh start for rebuilding the party from the polling station level.
He said, "The Agona Nyakrom area, with about 15 electoral areas, is key to spreading the message of renewal and reigniting the enthusiasm of our supporters." According to him, the party has begun intensive preparations from the polling station to constituency levels, with the aim of restoring confidence among supporters following the defeat in the 2024 elections.
Alhaji Tanko revealed that broader consultations are ongoing with constituency executives, the Council of Elders, and party patrons to re-integrate expelled members who violated party rules during the 2024 elections.
