The Attorney General, Dr Dominic Ayine, has directed that the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) investigate issues highlighted by Prof Frimpong Manso on illegal mining.
The Attorney General gave this directive after instructing EOCO to investigate two leading members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) over their alleged involvement in illegal mining activities in some mining districts in the country.
A letter dated July 15, 2025, Dr.
Ayine asked EOCO to broaden its probe to cover other persons found complicit, with special attention to issues raised in the Prof.
