Black Queens have set their sights on a place in the final of the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) after securing a spot in the quarterfinals.

The national team will face Algeria in the last eight on Saturday in Berkane.

After a slow start in Group C, where they lost 2-0 to defending champions South Africa and drew 1-1 with Mali, Ghana roared back with a dominant 4-1 win over Tanzania to seal second place in the group with four points.

The result not only revived their tournament hopes but also marked their highest-scoring game of the competition so far.
