An eyewitness has shared details surrounding the assault on former Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, , during the parliamentary election rerun at Ablekuma North on Friday, July 13, 2025.
Speaking with GhanaWeb TV, the witness alleged that the attack was an act of retaliation tied to a previous incident at Kasoa, where Hawa Koomson is accused of orchestrating an assault on an individual connected to the group. "According to what I heard, her attackers accused her of masterminding an earlier assault on one of their members at Kasoa and saw the rerun as an opportunity to retaliate.
When she began questioning the process, tensions rose.
I was present and witnessed it all," the witness recalled.
