Lawyer Sulley Sambian, North East Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and former CEO of the Northern Development Authority has admonished members of the student wing of the party, TESCON at Bagabaga Teacher Training College in the Northern Region to reposition themselves as a vital force in securing victory for the NPP in the 2028 general elections.
Addressing the gathering as the special guest of honour while welcoming freshmen and women, Lawyer Sambian expressed his deep excitement and nostalgia, recalling his own student activism days nearly 25 years ago.
He described the sight of TESCON members united in purpose as a powerful reminder of the party's roots and future potential. "We are gathered this morning not only to welcome freshmen who have had the good fortune and privilege of gaining admission into this reputable tertiary institution, but to build capacity and to mobilize a generation that must rise to the bold call for victory for the NPP in 2028," he stated.
Sambian tackled the skepticism around building youth capacity following the party's recent electoral defeat.
