Anglogold Ashanti, Obuasi Mine, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art Robotics Centre at Obuasi Senior High Technical School to equip students with cutting-edge knowledge in Artificial Intelligence(AI)-particularly robotics.Robotics, a dynamic branch of engineering and computer science, involves the conception, design, manufacture, and operation of robots.The center is designed to serve as a vibrant hub for technological exploration, offering students hands-on access to modern tools and resources to thrive in a digital-driven world.At the inaugural ceremony on Saturday, the Managing Director of AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi Mine, Sam Pobee, described the initiative as a powerful stride toward a renewed vision for Obuasi-a vision where the brilliance of the town's legacy is matched and surpassed by its technological future."This centre is more than a building.
It is a beacon of hope, a launchpad for imagination, and a gift to the future of Obuasi," Pobee stated. "Our generation dug gold with our hands; yours will shape gold with your minds.
