Member of Parliament for Akuapem North, Samuel Awuku, has criticised the (NDC), stating that the party lacks the moral authority to compare the recent violent clash at Ablekuma North to past incidents at Ayawaso West Wuogon and Techiman South.
His remarks come in response to statements by some NDC members who likened the assault on Minister Hawa Koomson to the violence their own members experienced in previous elections.
Some NDC stalwarts have argued that the (NPP) "deserved" the incident at Ablekuma North, suggesting it was a form of retribution for similar occurrences that took place during the NPP's time in power.
However, reacting to these claims, , a former National Youth Organiser of the NPP, maintained that the NDC has no moral justification to reference Ayawaso West Wuogon or Techiman South in the context of the Ablekuma rerun.
