Renowned Ghanaian filmmaker Socrate Safo has made it clear that his commitment to the country's creative sector goes beyond politics.   Though widely known as a staunch supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Socrate says he is open to working with creatives affiliated with the current government, which is led by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).Speaking in an exclusive interview with Joy FM's Kwame Dadzie on Showbiz A-Z, the filmmaker stressed the need for unity and collaboration within the arts space, no matter which political party is in power. "I am happy for the creatives in the NDC.

Let's support them.

I support them," he said. "I called Rex Omar and asked why he didn't invite me to the launch of the Blackstar Experience-because I want to help in any way, with ideas." He also disclosed that he had contacted the newly appointed Executive Secretary of the National Film Authority, actress and producer Kafui Danku, to offer his support and ideas to help push the sector forward.
