The Member of Parliament for South Dayi, has apologised for earlier claiming that a controversial photo taken at the independence square depicting LGBTQ+ activities was AI generated.
In a post shared on X on July 13, 2025, Dafeamekpor stated that he was misinformed. "Buhari, let me admit that upon watching this video you have supplied, I am convinced that the earlier information I received about this foto being AI-generated is inaccurate," he stated. "It means this truly happened in Ghana, so I will join the call for this to be condemned in no uncertain terms." He added.
The MP who maintained a strong stance against LGBTQ+ activities explained that his initial comments about the image being AI-generated was based on wrong advice. "Remember, I was & remain part of the strongest voices against these lgbtq+ activities in our country.
The initial advice I got on the fotos, was wrong.
