Secretary-General of the Ghana Federation of Labour (GFL), Abraham Koomson, has stated that he feels no sympathy for former Awutu Senya East MP, , following her assault during the Ablekuma North parliamentary rerun in the Greater Accra Region.
While condemning the violent disturbances that disrupted voting across 19 polling stations, Koomson was direct in his critique of the former fisheries minister's conduct. "Why would anyone go to a polling station with pepper spray?
What were you expecting to happen there?" he asked. "We've seen her role in previous incidents.
Has she ever shown remorse for those actions?" His comments referenced the controversial 2020 voter registration incident, in which Hawa Koomson admitted to firing a gun at a registration center, claiming self-defense.
