Ivory Coast secured a 2-1 win over Burkina Faso on Friday to kick off their campaign at the 2025 WAFU Zone B U20 Boys Cup.
The defending champions are part of the countries competing at this year's tournament, being staged at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, Ghana.
In the exciting Group B match played against Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast put up a fine performance to overcome the opponent.
A strike by Yaya Tapé on the stroke of halftime gave the defending champions a narrow lead to take into the break.
