The newly-elected Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North, Ewurabena Aubynn, says she feels proud and fulfilled after being declared the winner in the parliamentary rerun held on Friday, July 11.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate secured a narrow victory over the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Nana Akua Owusu Afriyie in what turned out to be a fiercely contested race.
Madam Aubynn polled 34,090 votes, edging out her closest contender, who garnered 33,881 votes.
Speaking to the media shortly after the Electoral Commission announced the official results, Madam Aubynn said her victory came as no surprise.
