The National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Candidate for Ablekuma North, Ewurabena Aubynn has been elected as Member of Parliament-elect for the constituency.

She polled 34,090 votes to beat the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate Akua Afriyie who garnered 33,881 votes.

The rerun held on Friday, July 11, 2025, came after a lengthy controversy over the first parliamentary results in December 2024, in which the counting of results from 19 voting stations was stopped by rioting at the collation center.

Following months of delay and security concerns, the Commission decided to rerun the poll in the impacted areas, despite a High Court's subsequent ruling for the EC to finish the process.
