Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Justice Blay has hit back at claims surrounding his lifestyle during his time at the club, insisting he was unfairly singled out over allegations of drinking.
In a candid interview with Kumasi-based Pure FM, Blay claimed there was a deliberate attempt to paint him as the only player with off-field issues. "People have been misinformed that I'm the only drunkard in the club, but that's not true," he said.
He went on to name teammates Joseph Ablor and Guinean midfielder Camara Mohammed as players who also engaged in smoking shisha during their time at the club.
Blay's comments come after his contract with Kotoko was mutually terminated at the end of the 2024/25 season, despite having a year left.
