Tom Norring, the outgoing Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Ghana, has expressed deep concern over the persistent and growing levels of corruption in Ghana, warning that the issue continues to erode public trust and hinder national development.

Speaking on the Citi Breakfast Show on Thursday, July 10, 2025, Mr.

Norring said that after five years of diplomatic service in the country, one of the most troubling issues he has observed is the flourishing nature of corruption-possibly even worse than when he first arrived. "After my five years in office, one problem I couldn't talk about in the previous government, because it was not really a proper thing, is that corruption is flourishing; even more, maybe, than when I came here.

That is not good," he stated.
