There was heavy commotion in certain areas during the parliamentary rerun at the Ablekuma North Constituency when thugs stormed the Odorkor Methodist Church.
Voting processes were halted at the St Peters polling station due to the chaos on July 11, 2025 According to GhanaWeb's Mandy Agyemang, thugs were on rampage while stones were pelted.
The tensions arose when the immediate past Member of Parliament (NPP) for Awutu Senya East, Mavis Hawa Koomson, was supposedly asked by some people to vacate the premises.
The chaos eventually led to the assault of the former MP, as captured on videos that have since gone viral.
