The has interdicted its official who was captured slapping a journalist during the 2025 parliamentary election rerun in the Ablekuma North Constituency.
The victim, Kwabena Agyekum Banahene, a journalist with GHOne TV (a subsidiary of the EIB Network), was assaulted on Friday, July 11, 2025, while covering the election in an official capacity.
In a press statement, the confirmed that the officer has been withdrawn from election duty in the constituency.
He has also been interdicted and referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) for further investigation.
