Mustapha Gbande has declared that the party is poised to secure victory in the upcoming parliamentary rerun in the Ablekuma North Constituency, insisting that the electorate has rejected the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) candidate, Nana Akua Afriyie.

The Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) accused the NPP of undemocratically imposing their candidate on the people, describing the process as "cruel" and lacking legitimacy. "This record can't take a person to Parliament.

The NPP has used a cruel manner of ways to impose her, but the system has rejected that imposition," Gbande stated firmly.

He expressed strong confidence that the NDC would emerge victorious in the rerun scheduled for Friday, July 11, pointing to what he called a groundswell of support from constituents who are dissatisfied with the NPP's approach and candidate. "Friday, July 11, should the election come on, it will be an addition to the number of seats we have in Parliament. "We will win that election.
