Nana Appiah Mensah, popularly known as NAM 1, briefly addressed the media following the adjournment of his case at the Supreme Court, where he is seeking to halt proceedings in an ongoing criminal trial at the High Court.

The embattled Menzgold CEO clarified that the hearing was not for the main appeal but a Supreme Court review of a previous ruling by the Court of Appeal. "Yes, so this wasn't the appeal," NAM 1 explained. "It was the determination that we had at the Appeals Court.

We wanted the Supreme Court to have a remedy out of that, so I think that's been adjourned." Asked how he felt about the court's decision to adjourn the case, he remained calm and composed, stating, "We'll just go and come back on the next business meeting to hear what the presence of the court are." The reporter also brought up recent discussions linking his name to the imprisonment of controversial evangelist Patricia Asiedua, also known as Nana Agradaa.

NAM 1, however, dismissed any such comparisons. "Let's not give preface to that," he said firmly. "We have a case to defend, and we are doing absolutely just that." He concluded by reaffirming his respect for the legal process, describing it as the true spirit of Ghana's democracy. "This is the beauty of constitutionalism," he said. "The very law that brings me here compels me to conjecture every time I'm about to.
