Emmanuel Gyasi is edging closer to a potential return to his hometown of Palermo following Empoli's relegation to Serie B.

The 31-year-old Ghanaian, who has spent more than a decade in Italian football, is now linked with a move to the Sicilian side as they look to strengthen under new manager Pippo Inzaghi.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Gyasi is open to the idea of joining Palermo.
