The National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Ernest Yaw Kumi, describing him as a "rising star" within the party whose death is a devastating loss.
Speaking on Citi Eyewitness News following Kumi's sudden passing on Monday, July 7, Nana B said the news broke during a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, leaving party leadership in deep shock and sorrow. "This is a big blow.
It is a devastating moment for the NPP," Nana B said. "The news came today when we were having our NEC meeting.
It was the Eastern Regional Chairman who informed us, and the Minority Leader later confirmed the unfortunate, sad event." Kumi, who was the Member of Parliament for Akwatia, was remembered not only for his political promise but also for his personal qualities.
