Emotions flared outside the Asokore Mampong District Court on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, as relatives of one of the two murdered mobile money vendors at Krofrom and Kwadaso in the Ashanti Region expressed outrage over what they described as a calculated attempt by one of the accused persons to gain sympathy from the court.
This followed the dramatic collapse of a pregnant woman, accused of serving as an informant among four other suspects involved in the killings and robberies.
The incident temporarily disrupted courtroom proceedings as officers and court officials rushed to revive the accused, who slumped to the floor during the hearing.
She was subsequently rushed into a police vehicle and transported for medical attention.
