Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Salma Mumin has openly expressed openness to the idea of possibly becoming a prophetess of God.
The screen goddess attributed her spiritual leanings to her upbringing by her guardians, who were pastors.
They instilled in her the teachings of God, which she believes may have influenced her "newly discovered calling." Speaking on TV3's The Afternoon Show on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, Salma reflected on her childhood as a prayer warrior, during which she received divine revelations.
She now sees these experiences as signs of her potential prophetic role. The actress and producer further shared how she nearly read the entire Bible, starting from Genesis but stopped at Revelation due to the intense revelations she encountered, which scared her. "I grew up here in Accra with my aunt and uncle.
They were leaders of the Apostolic Church, so living with a pastor and Osofo Maame, obviously, you are immersed in the church as well.
We went to Sunday school, we learned, and read the Bible," Salma said.
She continued, "As for me, I started reading the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, but I couldn't finish.
I almost did, but I couldn't continue because when I reached Revelation, God started revealing so much to me that it scared me." "I could see things when I prayed, and I was part of the prayer warriors.
Even as young as I was, each time I prayed, I saw things, and that scared me."When asked if she envisions herself as a prophetess in the future, Salma responded positively, indicating that "it is not far from me (becoming a prophetess)" given her religious upbringing.
She expressed her openness to stepping into the role of a prophetess "Someday, if God permits".
