The Minister of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has pledged to secure a reduction in DStv subscription prices amid growing public outcry over the service's affordability.

This comes in response to concerns raised by Ghanaians about what many describe as the increasingly high and unjustified cost of DStv packages.

Addressing the media on key initiatives in the digital and communications sector, on Thursday July 3, the Minister acknowledged the public frustration and emphasised the government's commitment to regulatory accountability and consumer protection.

According to him, the Ministry recently held discussions with the service provider to address issues of affordability, value for money, and service delivery.
