The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Sam Nartey George, has pledged to deliver on key reforms aimed at making data services in Ghana more affordable, accessible, and reliable.
Addressing the media on key initiatives in the sector, the Minister outlined a series of efforts by the government to reduce data costs and improve service quality across the country.
According to him, the Ministry is collaborating with the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) on a study that will assess the cost of data relative to the average earning power of Ghanaians.
He indicated that the results of the study will help determine whether further reductions in data prices are justified.
