The Electoral Commission (EC) will rerun the parliamentary election in 19 polling stations within the Ablekuma North Constituency on Friday, July 11, 2025.
The decision follows a protracted dispute between the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) over the validity of scanned Pink Sheets used during the collation of results from the December 7 general election.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, the EC stated that the rerun is part of efforts to resolve the impasse and ensure electoral integrity.
The announcement came after a follow-up meeting held on July 1 with representatives from both political parties.
