Former Member of Parliament for Subin in the Ashanti Region, Eugene Boakye Antwi, has expressed concerns over the suspension and the process leading to the removal of the Chief Justice of Ghana, Gertrude Torkornoo.

According to him, the suspended Chief Justice is a victim of a political vendetta.

He stated that if the government indeed has evidence to support its claims against her, it must present the evidence and allow her the opportunity to respond.

Eugene Boakye Antwi emphasized that the Chief Justice should not be targeted simply because she was appointed by the previous regime, as such actions would pose a serious threat to the integrity of the judiciary and the nation-building process. "She was calling for a televised hearing.
