Member of Parliament for Akim Oda, Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has credited former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's Covid-19 response infrastructure for the swift detection and management of the recent outbreak at the University of Ghana.

His statement comes in the wake of the resurgence of Covid-19 on the campus of the University of Ghana.

In an exclusive interview on Channel One Newsroom on Tuesday July 1, he praised what he described as the foresight of the previous administration in securing the country's health needs in the face of another COVID-19 outbreak.

He posits that the systems put in place during the peak of the pandemic are now proving instrumental. "If you recollect what the minister said, he said this foresight and commitment to preparedness allowed us to detect the current outbreak early and respond swiftly.
