A former legal advisor to former President John Agyekum Kufuor, Victoria Bright, has urged the suspended Chief Justice, Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey Torkornoo, to formally report any threats against her to the police.
Speaking on JoyNews AM on Monday, June 30, 2025, Victoria Bright emphasised that if the Chief Justice has indeed received threats, she must take the necessary official action by filing a report with law enforcement. "If the Suspended CJ truly was threatened, then she must file a report to the police for the necessary thing to be done.
As a citizen, she has the right to protection," Bright stated.
Suspended Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey Torkornoo has publicly alleged that she has received multiple threats coercing her to resign or face harm.
