Mahamudu Bawumia has reiterated his claim that John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is avoiding a debate with him due to a lack of supporting data.
According to Dr.
Bawumia, the NDC flagbearer is reluctant to engage in a debate because he does not want his views to be scrutinised or contested.
Speaking during a campaign event in Tema Central, Dr.
Bawumia emphasised that he has data to back his assertion that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has outperformed the NDC across all sectors. "There is no single area that you can point to and you will say that this sector the former government performed better than us.
I am challenged because I am a man of data, I speak only with data.
When I say we have done better, I have the data to support it. "This is why the former president doesn't want to debate me because he knows that he doesn't have the data.
He can make statements on political platforms where nobody can challenge him but he cannot make them in front of me," he stated.
