President of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, says the revelations by suspended Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo about her treatment during impeachment proceedings have exposed a broader culture of disrespect and poor conduct within Ghana's judiciary.
His remarks follow a press conference by Justice Torkornoo, in which she raised concerns about the treatment she has received since the commencement of the process to potentially remove her from office.
Speaking on Channel One TV's weekend news analysis programme The Big Issue, Cudjoe argued that the Chief Justice's experience reflects a systemic issue that has long existed in Ghana's courts but often goes unaddressed. "She is actually reflecting the source of legacy she has left for the Judiciary.
Why is she complaining about all these things there?
