A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Team, Hamza Suhuyini, has criticized suspended Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Torkornoo over her recent public address, arguing that her conduct justifies her removal from office.
In an interview with Starr FM, Suhuyini said the Chief Justice's decision to comment publicly on her ongoing impeachment proceedings was a direct violation of the law and a betrayal of the responsibilities entrusted to her office. "The people of this country pay to ensure that she benefits from those privileges.
So the least she can do is to uphold and respect our laws.
And for me, she betrayed that principle and justifies the reason why she should be taken out of office," he stated.
