The Member of Parliament (MP) for Yendi, Abdul-Fatawu Alhassan, says work on the much-anticipated Yendi Water Project is expected to begin before the end of 2025 and be completed by the close of 2026.
Speaking passionately about the importance of the Yendi Water project on Citi Eyewitness News on Friday June 27, the MP described the current water situation as dire and said its completion would be a major milestone in his tenure. "It is one thing that, when it's done - even if that alone is done within my four years - I breathe so well.
It is terrible," Alhassan remarked.
This declaration comes on the back of President John Dramani Mahama's announcement earlier this month, reaffirming his administration's commitment to infrastructure development in the Northern Region.
