The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has arrested two phone technicians in Wassa Akropong in the Western Region for allegedly tampering with mobile devices sold on credit by a local phone dealership company.
The operation, which took place on June 19, 2025, resulted in the apprehension of two individuals suspected of being involved in the illegal activity.
The suspects, identified as Machiavelli Arthur and Gideon Ebenezer, were arrested during an intelligence-led operation.
A report by 3news.com on June 26, 2025, indicated that preliminary investigations revealed that the syndicate was engaged in altering mobile phones for potentially fraudulent purposes.
