The management of Ghana International School (GIS) has vowed to defend its property following attempts by some individuals to take over parts of the school's land.

This comes after reports of some individuals attempted to deliver construction materials to part of the school's premises, allegedly claiming the land belonged to them.

The school reported the matter to the Cantonments Police, leading to the intervention of both the school's security and the police, who blocked the attempts.

In an interview with Citi News, Principal and Head of Schools, Frank Amponsah Mensah, expressed the school's determination to resist any encroachment on its property. "We don't know whether he is claiming that the property is for him personally or he is fighting for somebody, but if you acquire property, do you take possession of your property at 2 am?

2 am everybody is supposed to be asleep unless you are a security man guarding your post or you have evil intentions." "But you can't come to somebody's house, open his gates, and tell your people to put sand onto his property and that if he has a problem he should go to the police station." Meanwhile, the Office of the President has refuted claims that the Head of the VVIP Unit, Chief Superintendent Ibrahim Opoku, allegedly is involved in a land dispute with Ghana International School (GIS) in Accra.

This comes after some individuals attempted to deliver construction materials to part of the school's premises, allegedly claiming the land had been sold.
