Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has called on suspended Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey Torkornoo to follow due process if she feels threatened, rather than resorting to media outbursts.
Speaking in an interview with Joy News on Wednesday, Asiedu Nketiah criticized the Chief Justice for what he described as an attempt to court public sympathy through press conferences. "If she has been threatened, the right thing to do is to report to the police and present her evidence. "She is the number one judge in the country.
If she won't follow the law, what example does that set?" he queried.
He questioned the validity of her claims, noting that the legal and judicial structures she once led remain unchanged. "She is shouting at press conferences, making claims, but the law she presided over still exists. 'We haven't changed the laws, the judges are the same, and the judicial processes remain intact.
