The chairman of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Asiedu Nketia, has questioned Ghana's commitment to the fight against corruption.

He believes that the country is not determined to fight the canker that hinders the development of the country.

To the man popularly called General Mosquito, the country has all the laws to fight corruption, but the bigger problem is the determination and commitment at the leadership level to fight it.

Asiedu Nketia, who was speaking at the African Governance and Anti-Corruption Summit held at the University of Ghana on June 25, 2025, intimated that until decisions are made in the fight against corruption, the country will continue dancing around the canker. "I think that if we are determined to fight corruption, we will get somewhere, but I don't see Ghana determined to fight corruption.
