Ningo-Prampram Member of Parliament, Sam Nartey George, has issued a scathing response to what he describes as the "abhorrent disrespect" of Ghanaian culture and national values by two individuals seen in viral images that have sparked widespread public outrage.

In a strongly worded social media post after returning from the Girls in ICT program climax in Ho, Sam George condemned the actions of the unnamed individuals, calling them "useless" and "miscreants" for allegedly disrespecting national symbols and Ghanaian values. "The disrespect of our national symbols is despicable to say the least," he wrote.

The outspoken MP did not hold back in criticizing what he described as the hypocrisy of some members of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), accusing them of failing to support legislation that could have prevented such incidents. "I am shocked to see apologists of the NPP calling on me and demanding action.

What a shameless lot!" he stated, adding that the absence of firm legislation is largely due to former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's refusal to sign the Family Values Bill into law despite approval by Parliament and the Courts. "You defended the immoral stance of President Akufo-Addo then and today you want to pontificate?
