Interior Minister Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak, has charged the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) to adopt a results-driven, technology-enhanced approach to service delivery, in line with the government's 24-Hour Economy initiative..

In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, the Minister praised the GIS for outlining a clear strategic direction that aligns with the national economic agenda.

He emphasized the Service's pivotal role as the country's first line of defense. "As the country's first line of defense, the Service plays a vital role in monitoring and regulating what enters and exits Ghana's borders, including the issuance of visas to non-Ghanaians," he stated.

Alhaji Muntaka urged the GIS to embrace modern technology to improve operational efficiency and provide faster, more reliable immigration services. "I urged GIS to leverage modern technology to enhance the efficiency of its operations and improve service delivery," he added.
